Meet Our Team

Brad began in the dental field 15 years ago. He feels fortunate to have joined the Rush Family Practice in October 2007 and is proud to help our team deliver first-class patient care. He has vast knowledge in dealing with insurance companies and takes pride in helping our patients understand their benefits.

Brad’s strength is supporting our patient’s understanding of their treatment and finding ways to help them complete their care.

He enjoys spending free time with his wife and two boys, as well as playing golf and guitar.

Brad DOES NOT like cheese on anything…except pizza and nacho’s⁠—but we still like him anyway 😉

Karen grew up in southern California and moved to Arizona in 1995. She graduated from Phoenix College and has been a Dental Hygienist since 2000. She also has done extensive research in health and nutrition.

In her spare time, Karen volunteers with a local nonprofit, mentoring foster children.

Fun Fact
Karen is in the midst of working with her husband to create a documentary film addressing the foster care system in Arizona.

Alisha was born and raised in Thatcher, Arizona and moved to Mesa in 2005. She worked as a dental assistant for nine years before graduating from MCC's dental hygiene program.

One of Alisha’s favorite things about dental hygiene is building lasting, trusting, relationships with HER patients. Educating patients about the link between oral and systemic health is important in my patient care as a dental hygienist.

In her spare time, Alisha enjoys spending time with her three (soon to be four) children and husband.

Fun Fact
One of their favorite past-times is going for buggy rides out in the desert. Being outdoors and spending time together as a family is what she enjoys most!

Maryam has been with Dr. Rush’s office since 2002 and serves as his Lead Dental Assistant. Her favorite part of the job is working on full mouth reconstruction cases.

She is a Certified Surgical Technician and was fortunate to work with the best plastic surgeon for 8 years.

In addition, she has a diploma in Micro Circuit Mask Design and is certified in Dental Radiology and Radiation Health and Safety.

Fun Fact
Maryam has been married for 21 years and has two beautiful children. In her spare time she likes to travel and see different cultures.

Lorena is a charming dental assistant who graduated from Apollo College in 2000. Upholding our philosophy of staying current on all dental innovations and best practices, Lorena has completed many hours of continuing education. Lorena’s future goals include a degree in Dental Hygiene.

Fun Fact
Lorena cherishes and adores her son, Marcos who is the highlight of her life. She is not shy to share stories of him whenever she can.

Doris grew up in Lima Peru where she worked in a special needs school. In 2008 she moved to Arizona with her husband. Doris was given an opportunity to volunteer in Dr. Rush’s office which led her to a career in Dental Assisting. She has been with Dr. Rush for 5 years.

Fun Fact
Doris enjoys spending time with her husband cooking, camping, going to movies, and is heavily involved with the youth at her church. She also has a passion for Peruvian Cultural Dances and traveling.

Penny joined our front office team in the summer of 2017. She loves interacting with patients both on the phone and in person.

She has been happily married for 21 years where she met her husband at Taco Bell, and has 3 kids who keep her busy with all their extra curricular activities.

She earned her 4 year degree from Mesa high, home of the jackrabbits. Go jackrabbits! She loves traveling and quality time with loved ones.
