City staff hand-collect 1,000 to 1,200 tumbleweeds from fields and construction sites to create this one-of-a-kind tree. They assemble the tumbleweeds into a 25-30 foot wire frame, spray them with flame retardant and white paint, add glitter, and decorate the tree with thousands of lights. The result is a stunning spectacle that draws visitors far and wide.
